Electral Powder

An oral rehydration salt (ORS) called electral powder is frequently used to treat or prevent dehydration, especially in the following days of vomiting, diarrhoea, or heavy perspiration. It aids in the body’s replacement of lost salts, electrolytes, and fluids.

Key Components:

Sodium Chloride (Salt)

– Potassium Chloride

– Citrate

– Dextrose (Glucose)

How to Use:

1.Dissolve the contents of one sachet of Electral powder in the specified amount of clean drinking water (usually 200 ml or as instructed on the packet).
2.Stir well until the powder is completely dissolved.
3.Drink the solution gradually throughout the day. It’s typically advised to take small sips rather than consuming it all at once.

Benefits:

  • Restores hydration and electrolyte balance.
  • Provides energy through glucose, which helps in the absorption of sodium and water in the intestines.

Precautions:

  • Use only the recommended amount of water for dilution.
  • Consult a healthcare provider if symptoms persist or if there’s a severe loss of fluids.
  • Not recommended for individuals with kidney problems or those on a low-sodium diet without medical advice.
